Originally
from NY State, David graduated from the Veterinary College
at Cornell in 1969. After graduation he went to work for
a mixed animal practice in Lisbon, New Hampshire. Although
he got to work on just about every species of animal, he
kept gravitating toward the horses. Dr
Jefferson takes part in all aspects of our on the farm equine
veterinary care, but his passion is chiropractic care of
the horse. Each year he completes at least 7 days of specialized
training in adjusting horses.

David bought Dr. Charlie Meader's
equine practice in Greene, Maine, in 1972. At that time the practice
dealt mostly with race horses. A surgical facility in Turner
served as a base in the middle 70's. In the years that followed
he found that farm work was more his preference, and the
buildings and land in Turner were sold. |
